Description

What is Give – Gift Aid?

Give – Gift Aid is an extension for the GiveWP plugin that enables UK-based nonprofits to benefit from the Gift Aid program. Gift Aid is a UK tax incentive that allows charities to reclaim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible donation made by a UK taxpayer. This means that for every £1 donated, the charity can claim an additional 25p from the government.

How Does it Work?

Give – Gift Aid integrates seamlessly with the GiveWP donation forms. When a donor makes a donation and selects the Gift Aid option, the plugin automatically adds the necessary Gift Aid declaration to the donation form.

Yhe charity can then claim the Gift Aid on the donation by submitting the necessary information to HM Revenue & Customs.

Why Should You Install Give – Gift Aid?

There are several reasons why UK-based nonprofits should consider installing:

Maximize Donations

By enabling the Gift Aid option on donation forms, nonprofits can maximize the value of each donation. This can make a significant difference in the overall fundraising efforts of the organization.

Streamline Gift Aid Claims

It simplifies the process of claiming Gift Aid on donations by providing a comprehensive report with all the necessary information. This saves time and effort for the charity.

Compliance with Regulations

Using it ensures that nonprofits are compliant with the regulations surrounding the Gift Aid program. This reduces the risk of errors and ensures that the charity is eligible to claim Gift Aid on donations.

Enhance Donor Experience

By offering the option to donate using Gift Aid, nonprofits can enhance the donor experience and encourage more people to give. Many UK taxpayers are unaware of the Gift Aid program, so providing this option can be a pleasant surprise for donors.
